Donegall Pass Community Forum was established in 1996 as a registered charity. It is the primary representative body for the area “Donegall Pass”. The Forum is a welcoming and impartial space for anyone in the local area to socialise, enjoy and learn. We strive to raise awareness of the needs of the community, bring in investments and resources, and network with local community groups. Our vision for Donegall Pass is an attractive, vibrant and safe community, which celebrates our history, present and future.
Core aims of DPCF:
- Identify the key priorities for developing the area and prepare a strategy and action plan.
- Develop the forum as an effective network for community groups and others working for the benefit of the area.
- Raise awareness of the needs of the community and attract investment and resources to meet those needs.
Donegall Pass is a small, well-defined geographical area. The Donegall Pass community has undergone a process of significant change. This includes a decline in overall population, structural change in the local demography, rising land and property prices, and commercial incursions. These challenges have led to feelings of loss of control and dilution of identity.
